So, if you've read my recent blog titled: "Online Dating - For Better or Worse" you will know exactly what my thoughts are about finding love online. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, because statistics show that 60% of people do find a lasting connection online, but is that good enough? Is it worth all the pitfalls, ghosting and untruths along the way? I wonder if it's truly the best way to find love.
What say you? What are your thoughts about virtual dating and finding love in general? Tell us your story.
In the year 2022 online dating has come a long way, having said that it’s also kinda gone downhill in a way. As Giacomo brought up, there are so many fake people; people with bad intention, people with intentions at all and just sexual interests. However, i will speak from personal experience it worked for me; I met up in person with about 3 people and talked to countless but ended up dating someone I met online (it’s been About 2 years now). Don’t get me wrong A LOT of people were a mess, frustrating and not worth it but still they weren’t a waste of time because if allowed me to meet all kinds of people from different background, with different opinions, values and morals and I learned what I liked and didn’t. Overall it’s a yes from me but i suppose it depends on a person to person basis.
To many fake people on social media therefore in my opinion asking someone for a coffee or dinner means only that.If you can’t be honest from the beginning, don’t bother.Time is valuable so why waist it on people that don’t value yours.Be honest from the beginning and no one gets hurt. In the end having a great dinner and conversation with someone is priceless. I hope I’ve helped someone out there .Thank you for your time.
